Common errors

The messages and blocks you’re most likely to run into, in plain language, with what to do next.

”You don’t have access to this library”

You’re trying to act in a library you’re not assigned to. In per-library access mode, Users and Library Owners only see and act in libraries they’re explicitly assigned to. Ask an Org Admin or a Library Owner to add you — see manage team access and libraries and access modes.

The check-out is blocked by a blacklist notice

The caregiver is on the blacklist. Users can’t complete the check-out and should contact a Library Owner; a Library Owner or Org Admin can override with a reason. See what the blacklist gate does and why can’t I check this out?.

”You’ve reached your plan limit” / areas are read-only

Your organization is over its carrier or library limit and has entered soft lock. Existing loans and check-in still work; adding carriers or libraries is paused. Get back under the limit or upgrade. See limit and lock questions and what happens at a limit.

The carrier has no check-out button

The carrier isn’t Available, isn’t loanable, or is an equipment item. Check its status and settings — see carrier statuses and change a carrier’s status.

A fit check is required before check-out

Your library requires a fit check first. Confirm the caregiver completed one, then finish the check-out. See record a fit check.

”This email already exists” when creating a caregiver

A caregiver with that email is already on record in your org. Search for them instead of creating a duplicate — during check-out you can find and reuse an existing caregiver. See create a caregiver and quick-create during check-out.

I can’t invite people or change billing

Only an Org Admin can invite people, assign roles, and manage the subscription. If you’re a Library Owner or User, ask your Org Admin. See roles explained and invite your team and assign roles.

I got signed out or can’t sign in

Try resetting your password. If your account uses multi-factor authentication, you’ll also need your authenticator code — see set up MFA.
