How-toAccount & securityReset a password

Reset a password

Send yourself a password reset link when you can’t sign in. Password resets always go out by email — Carrier Stash never sets a password for another person directly.

If you’re already signed in and just want to change your password, use the Change password section on your account page instead.

Steps

1. Open the reset page

On the Sign in screen, choose Forgot your password? to open Reset your password.

2. Enter your email

Type the email address for your account and submit. You’ll always see the same neutral confirmation — “If an account exists for that email, we’ve sent a reset link” — whether or not the address is registered. This is intentional, so the form never reveals which emails have accounts.

Check your inbox for the reset email and open the link. It takes you to a page where you set a new password.

4. Set a new password

Enter your new password and confirm it. Once it’s saved, you can sign in with the new password.

After the reset

Your new password is active immediately. If MFA is set up on the account, signing in still asks for a code from your authenticator app after the password.

Helping a teammate who’s locked out

You can’t reset someone else’s password from inside Carrier Stash. Point the teammate to the Forgot your password? link so the reset link goes to their own inbox. If they never received their original invitation, re-invite them from the Users page instead — see Manage team access.
