What’s new
Recent improvements to Carrier Stash, grouped by what they help you do. This is a plain-language summary of shipped, user-facing changes — not a technical release log.
Lending and inventory
- Global search (⌘K). A command palette in the top bar searches across carriers, caregivers, loans, libraries, events, and packing lists. It works with QR codes too — scan with your camera or paste a scanned code and it jumps straight to the carrier.
- QR scanning everywhere. Scan a carrier’s QR code to find it from the carrier list search, and the dashboard’s check-out shortcut now leads with a QR action.
- Printable carrier info sheet. Generate a one-page PDF for any carrier — fit guide, safety reminders, photo, notes, QR code, and your library’s contact — with a dialog to pick which sections to include. Your choices are remembered per library.
- Equipment items. Track non-carrier gear (folding tables, signage, inserts, demo dolls) as equipment. Equipment is never loan-eligible and has its own limit, separate from your carrier count.
Caregivers and events
- Fewer clicks at check-out. Find an existing caregiver by name or quick-create a new one on the spot with just a first and last name.
- Org-configurable event types. Org Admins can define their own event kinds (label and color) in settings — for example Clinic, Class, or Meetup — instead of a fixed list.
Billing and plans
- Clearer subscription status. The subscription page shows where your plan stands at a glance — when it renews, whether it’s set to cancel, or if a payment is past due (with a quick way to update your payment method).
- Simpler, consistent plan limits. Plans are Free, Starter, Pro, and Community, each with its own active-carrier and library caps. Going over a limit puts affected areas into read-only mode rather than blocking check-in — your existing loans keep working. See subscription tiers, limits, and soft lock.
Account and organization
- Delete an organization, safely. Org owners can now remove an organization through a guided, two-stage process with a cooling-off period and a window to restore before anything is permanently purged.
- Streamlined sign-in. Sign in with Google. (Facebook sign-in was removed.)
- A warmer sign-out. A brief on-brand “See you soon” moment when you log out, with reduced-motion support.
