How trials work
A trial lets your organization use a higher tier’s features and limits for a while before committing to a plan. Trials are set up by Carrier Stash directly, and Org Admins see the trial notices in the app.
New organizations don’t start on a trial
Every new organization starts on the Free plan — no card needed, and no free trial starts automatically. Free is a real plan you can stay on as long as you like, not a countdown. See Understand tiers and carrier limits for what each plan includes.
What a trial is
A trial means Carrier Stash sets your organization to be treated as a higher tier — that tier’s carrier limits and features — until an end date. During the trial you use the app exactly as a subscribed organization would; nothing is watermarked or held back.
Trials are currently arranged with Carrier Stash directly — for example for beta partners, or after a conversation at a conference. If you’d like to try a paid tier, get in touch .
Heard about a promo code, discount code, or trial code? Those are applied on our side too — there’s currently no place in the app to enter a code. Contact us and we’ll set it up for your organization.
Before the trial ends
Starting 7 days before the end date, a banner appears on your dashboard and Subscription page telling you how many days are left and inviting you to choose a plan. Each Org Admin also receives a trial-expiring email in that window.
When the trial ends
Your organization returns to the Free plan (or to whichever paid plan you’ve subscribed to in the meantime). Nothing is deleted. If the trial left you with more carriers or libraries than your plan allows, the areas over the limit go read-only — you can still see everything and check carriers back in, but new check-outs are paused and you can’t add carriers or libraries until you’re back under the cap or upgrade. See Subscription tiers, limits, and soft lock for exactly how that works.
Keep your features
You can upgrade at any time — before, during, or after a trial — from your organization’s Subscription page. Once you subscribe, your paid plan takes over from the trial. See Upgrade or downgrade.
